Coach Eddie Tong is a certified PGA professional coach with additional certification from the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation (CGTF). He has six years of golf teaching experience, having previously taught at Pine Valley Golf Club in Guiyang, China, and is currently a resident coach at the Vic Hadfield Golf & Learning Centre. Eddie focuses on providing instruction for golf enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Known for his patient and personalized teaching style, he helps students not only improve their skills but also develop a strong mental approach to the game. Matthew’s passion for golf began at an early age—he first picked up a club at just two years old and went on to earn his professional status at 21. With a strong background in both competitive play and golf instruction, he delivers each lesson with a high level of expertise, clarity, and commitment.

Throughout his career, Matthew has coached players across all age groups and skill levels. His composed demeanor and patient teaching style create an encouraging learning environment, helping students feel confident whether they are new to the game or seeking to refine advanced mechanics.

Matthew’s instructional philosophy is rooted in simplicity, enjoyment, and continuous improvement. He is dedicated to making the game accessible and engaging while guiding students toward meaningful progress.
